Friends of Serve Afghanistan’s funding comes from a combination of private agency donations, trusts, foundations, charities and concerned individuals. Its accounts and books are kept and audited in accordance with the laws and regulations for non-profit corporations registered in the state of Michigan. The agency submits annual reports and receives yearly certification from the Michigan Department of Licensing and from the Attorney General’s office of Charitable Solicitation.
All funds - except minimal bank fees and legal filing/licensing fees - received by Friends of Serve Afghanistan are used for projects implemented by Serve Afghanistan. Friends of Serve Afghanistan has no office or staff. All necessary administrative functions are done by board volunteers.
