We support the work of Serve Afghanistan in Afghanistan.

Serve Afghanistan was initially established in 1972 in response to a famine in Ghor Province, Afghanistan. It disbanded after one and a half years, when the immediate needs were met.

Serve Afghanistan was re-established in 1980, originally working with Afghan refugees in Pakistan. Since the early 1990s, after the Soviet occupation had ended, Serve Afghanistan returned to Afghanistan and it started a school for the deaf (now successfully handed over to the Afghan Government).

It was during this time that Serve Afghanistan also began projects for people with disabilities, community development, literacy, civil engineering and environment.

Serve Afghanistan is currently working in 10 projects in 5 main sectors which are Inclusive Education for disabled children, Livelihood, Community Health, Mother Tongue Literacy and Disaster Management.

Serve Afghanistan is involved in providing relief to the families who are poor or families affected by disasters.
